SaVG_Pho3nix
Automation Enthusiast. Honest Reviewer. Accidental Streamer.
Hey -- I'm SaVG_Pho3nix. And no, I did not start out as a gamer.
What I am is someone who gets completely consumed by systems, processes, and the deep satisfaction of making things work better than they did five minutes ago. Gaming just happens to be the best delivery mechanism for that particular obsession...especially when the game involves factory layouts, automation chains, and the very specific joy of watching a production line finally run at 100% efficiency.
Over 6,000 hours in Satisfactory alone. I regret nothing.
How ISuckAtVideoGaming became SaVG_Pho3nix
It started at work. We were using Screencastify to make internal how-to videos and I kept thinking, "We can do this better." That one thought sent me down a research rabbit hole that led to watching countless hours of YouTube tutorials, live streams, green screen setups, and an app called OBS that I had absolutely no business discovering.
COVID hit. Suddenly I had time. I had a new apartment with a floor plan worth optimizing. And everything I searched about OBS kept pointing me to one place: Twitch.
So "ISuckAtVideoGaming" was born. SaVG for short. The name was honest because I'm really not that great at gaming. All thumbs. But the investigative part of my brain doesn't know how to leave things alone, and somewhere between the first stream and the thousandth hour in a factory game, the phoenix showed up.
SaVG_Pho3nix made a lot more sense.
What I actually play and why I write about it
I won't review games I don't know deeply. That's not a policy. It's just how I'm wired. If I haven't spent serious time inside a game, I have no business telling you whether it's worth yours.
My lane is automation, factory building, city sims, and logic-heavy gameplay; games like Satisfactory, Factorio, Alchemy Factory, and whatever else scratches that same itch. These are games where the complexity compounds over hundreds of hours and there's always something worth figuring out.
That's what you'll find here. Deep dives. Update breakdowns. "Did you know" moments that took me embarrassingly long to discover. And honest takes on whether a new release or update is actually worth your time.
No fluff. No sponsored opinions.
I write what I actually think. If something is brilliant I'll tell you exactly why. If an update breaks something that used to work, I'll tell you that too. The goal is simple: give you enough real information to decide whether a game deserves a place in your life before you spend your money or your weekend finding out.
I don't accept payment for reviews. Ever. Keys and early access are welcome -- my opinions aren't for sale regardless.
You can fact-check me with 6,000 hours of Satisfactory saves if you want.
By day
By day I'm a Digital Marketing Manager who's spent the better part of 30 years watching the web evolve from hand-coded HTML to AI-generated everything...and somehow staying curious through all of it.
I oversee web strategy, SEO, and analytics for a portfolio of 20+ websites. I know what good data looks like, what bad data costs, and exactly how much damage a "we'll just wing the SEO" attitude does to a site's long-term health.
SaVG_Pho3nix is where both sides of that life collide -- built from scratch, in a space I actually care about, using every tool and technique I know. The conveyor belts and the dashboards aren't that different when you think about it. Both reward the same thing: building the right systems and trusting the process.
Come find me
The best version of this is live. Catch me on Twitch where I stream, answer questions, and occasionally make catastrophically inefficient factory decisions in real time. Highlights live on YouTube and TikTok if you prefer your content in smaller doses.
Either way -- welcome. The conveyor belts aren't going to optimize themselves.
